Education

Bradley University

2000 – 2005 GPA: 3.79

I graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Multimedia and a minor in Computer Science. I was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi academic honors societies and was awarded the Scholarship Award for having the highest GPA of all graduating Multimedia majors.

I was also actively involved in Phi Mu Alpha SInfonia music fraternity, being elected President and Education Officer for two terms apiece and also winning the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Honor Award upon graduation.

Speaking Engagements

DrupalCon

March 2008

Brian McMurray and I were selected as one of the 16 groups to present in the Site Building track at the Boston DrupalCon. We gave our second presentation on Druplash and Druplex, content-managed Flash and Flex sites powered by Drupal. We also addressed the limitations of full Flash sites, methods to overcome these limitations, open source tools for Flash, and how to use our SWFAddress module for enhanced SEO and accessibility.

Regional Drupal Meetups

January 2008 -

Brian and I have also spoken about Druplash/Druplex and other topics at regional Drupal meetups since the start of this year. We presented on Druplash/Druplex and I did a pickup session on web standards at DrupalCampWI in January 2008. I went and presented a lot of the sites I have done to a regional meeting of the Central Illinois Drupal Users Group in March 2008. Brian and I both volunteered to present sessions at DrupalCampUIUC in April 2008, and we also tag-teamed an entire morning of training when we hosted a Drupal BootCamp on Bradley University’s campus in May 2008. Over 40 people attended our camp, some coming from as far away as Chicago to participate.
